Winning packaging design for Fresh’s 2023 Limited Edition Soy Face Cleanser.
Inspired by the tranquility of doing traditional Chinese painting together with my grandpa, my design represents the vastness of the sky, and the comfort behind knowing that no matter what, we look up and the sky will always be there.

Tranquility is the keyword of my design. I wanted to visually translate the same tranquil and intimate feeling that skincare brings me and the closest feeling to that state of mind was when I did traditional Chinese painting with my grandpa.
My grandpa has been involved in this practice for over 70 years. While painting, he taught me to be more patient, to slow down the running thoughts in my head, and to settle down my heart and my mind. I wanted to interlace this personal memory with a more universal concept, and I found my answer in the clouds on my walk home from school one day. I remember looking up at the vast, limitless sky, and suddenly, nothing felt like a big deal.
The beauty of clouds in our sky is one of the only things that can be universally understood, no matter who you are or where you are, because ultimately, we are all under the same sky.
Bringing stylistic elements from traditional Chinese painting into the visual motif of clouds, my design for the limited edition Soy pH-Balanced Hydrating Face Wash was born.
